Gene Targeting in Cell Lines

The use of CRIPR/Cas9 technology to introduce modifications in the mouse genome has in recent years revolutionized the generation of mouse models for different purposes. In the same way, this technology is used widely to modify specific genes in cell lines. Comparison of the mutant line with its parental cell line will then reveal the functions of that gene and maybe validate it as a novel drug target for disease therapy.

Depending on the cell line, whether clones or polyclonal mixtures are requested and the complexity of the desired modification, prices are expected to be in the range of 10-25000 kr. per gene per cell line.
