Embryo Isolation

We isolate pre-implantation embryos at different stages: zygote, 2-cell, morula or blastocyst. They can be put in culture, manipulated and, eventually, put back into a recipient females to bring them up to full term. We also can obtain embryos from pregnant females at different stages of mid gestation such as 6.5 or 7.5 dpc, or further developed fetuses.

If you are interested in this technique, you would provide us with fertile males and/or females from the mouse line and genotype of interest. Hormone treatment of the females can optionally be performed in order to increase the efficiency of the embryo harvesting. In this case, females should not have reached the fertile age, i.e. they should be around 4-week old.
